Simple, Special, Stunning!!!

It is time for the December edition of Simple Special Stunning at the SheetLoad of Cards blog, featuring samples by Denise Wallace.

Each month one of our artists will share three different cards that use the current layout. Each card is a "step up" from the previous one, but they are all fabulous. It is a good way to show how SheetLoad is geared toward papercrafters of all levels.

Here are some sneak peeks to whet your appetite...

Humble Pie Friday!

It's the last Humble Pie Friday. This week the challenge is to make a tag or bookmark. I can always use tags for the holiday season. So here is my take:

Materials: Humble Pie stamps (Christmas Maggie), My Mind's Eye paper, Stickles, Savvy'n'Sassy ribbon, Spellbinders, Copic markers, Making Memories Epoxy Stickers.

Well that is it for today. This is my last post until after the holiday season. I hope you have a great holiday season and see you in 2010. Blessings!!

Humble Pie Friday!

Good morning! Only 2 weeks to go until the big day. Are you ready? I'm doing not bad, after this crazy weekend coming up I can relax and have fun.

It's Humble Pie Friday. This weeks challenge is embossing. I chose to go with dry embossing. I used it on the white cardstock behind my snowman (isn't he the cutest!).

Materials: Humble Pie stamps, Cuttlebug embossing template, Spellbinders, SEI Paper, Kaiser pearls, Savvy'n'Sassy ribbon, Smooch, Copics.

Make sure to stop by the blog to see all the great creations of the other talented ladies. And make sure to link your project to the blog to win, you don't need Humble pie stamps to play along.

A SheetLoad card

Good morning! It's a crisp day out here today. I'm hoping it will warm up a bit. We had a great weekend (except for the crazy weather). We had a couple of parties to attend and they were a lot of fun.

On to some scrappy stuff. Today I have a card I made using the December SheetLoad sketch. I had fun with this one.

I used some old Crate paper, Copics, Tim Holtz Distress ink, Stickles, Kaiser bling, sewing machine and Making Memories epoxy stickers.

Well that's it for today, I'm off to volunteer at the school in the Santa store. The kids get to buy presents for their mom and dad and we wrap them up for them. Should be fun. Have a great day!

Today I have my Humble Pie Challenge. It's a fun one. You need to head over to Kim's blog and pick a card and "lift" it. She has so many cards that are gorgeous it was hard to choose, but I chose the one from this post. I really liked the idea of this house card. I thought it was super cute. Here is my take:

Well that's it for today, a quick post. Have a great weekend!
