2 Sketches 4 You Card ~ March 30th

Good afternoon. I hope you all had a great weekend. I got to enjoy Vivaldi's Four Seasons performed by the Calgary Philharmonic on Saturday night. It was awesome.

I have my 2 Sketches 4 You card this afternoon. I've been trashing my stash of Basic Grey and I was playing with the Boxer line. I must admit when I first saw this paper, I fell in love, however, I've been having a hard time using it. Not sure why. Anyways here is my take and it also includes Prima flowers, Kaiser flowers and rhinestones, Savvy'n'Sassy ribbon, making memories tiny alphabets, Fiskars border punch and my sewing machine.

Also, I have a little tutorial going up on the Savvy'n'Sassy blog on April 1st. You can check it out on the blog here. If you attended the March Madness crop, you got a sneak peak!

That's it for today. I'll be back later in the week with some more cards and creations. Have a happy Monday.

Good afternoon.

Well I've had an extremely busy few days here. I keep waiting for some down time and it just doesn't seem to happen, LOL.

On to some scrappy stuff. Over the last couple of days all of the ladies over at Creatively Yours have interpreted Card Sketch #23. Here is my interpretation. I used October Afternoon paper, Prima flowers, Savvy'n'Sassy ric rac, Kaiser pearls and I'm not sure about the rubon. I included a second shot to show the dimension I did on this card.

Head on over there to see all the beautiful creations. That's it for today. On to more on my to do list. Have a great day.

Happy Wednesday and CPS #108

Good morning. Today I have my CPS card. I went really simple with this card. I used the Imaginisce Twitterpatted paper which is super cute. It just lends itself to easy cards. I think it's bright and springy.

Well that's it for today. Hope you have a happy Wednesday. And hopefully spring is blooming where you are.

2 Sketches 4 You ~ March 23rd

It's Monday again! I've been busy trying to catch up from the weekend. The boys had a day off on Friday and that totally threw off my schedule. Today I have my 2 Sketches 4 You card. I'm trying very hard to keep up with it as it will mean I will have 52 cards at the end of the year! And it's a card a week. So here is my take on the wonderful sketch. I used the Basic Grey Marakkech line, Savvy'n'Sassy ribbon, Making Memories tiny alphabets, Bazzill blossoms and Doodlebug brads.

Well that's it for today. Just a quick post. I've been baking muffins all afternoon and the oven is calling me. Have a great evening!

A Nest of Treasures

Good morning. Only 1 more day of winter!! I can't wait for spring. It's seemed like a long winter for us and I can't wait to see the flowers and hear the birds. We are landscaping this year and I've ordered a pear tree and a cherry tree for our backyard so I can't wait to get those planted. I know it'll be a couple of years until I see some fruit, but I'm still excited!

Ok on to the scrappy stuff. This month at Savvy'n'Sassy I got to work with the Nest of Treasures kit. I love the spring feel. This kit matches perfectly with the new My Mind's Eye Penny lane paper. Here are a few of the layouts I did with this kit:

Here are me and my guys on a hike last summer:

And another hike last summer. The boys loved this hollowed out tree:

And my little daredevil. You can just see it in his expression:

I also did some cards which I will show in the days to come. But if you love ribbon this is a jam packed kit and I had lots of fun with it.

That's it for today. I have a glamorous day of cleaning ahead. I think it's Spring cleaning time. Have a happy Thursday.

High Hopes Challenge #22

Good morning. Today I have my High Hopes Challenge. Sigh, no patterned paper. This is super hard for me. My cards always start with a patterned paper choice. So this is what I came up with. I used my Cuttlebug embossing folders, Fiskars border punch, Copic markers, Stickles, Tim Holtz Distress ink and Savvy'n'Sassy ribbon. I went with a Christmas theme. I'm starting early!

I have been working on my Savvy'n'Sassy DT stuff and will have to more show later this week. Have a great day and enjoy the nice weather if you have it!

2 Sketches 4 You Card ~ March 16th

Good afternoon. Sorry I was MIA late last week. I ended up getting pretty sick and was in bed for most of it. So no scrapping for me. Today has been eventful. I've been trying to catch up and take care of everything that got left by the wayside last week. Then I did something really stupid and accidentally deleted all my scrappy files. My wonderful DH is working on getting them back, cross your fingers and toes that he can work a miracle. Not really sure what I was thinking at the time, I think I was distracted while I was trying to clean up what I've got on my computer. I'm not technically savvy, LOL.

Anyways on to my 2 Sketches 4 you card. I use some of the new My Mind's Eye Penny Lane paper and die cuts on this one. I also used Prima Flowers, Savvy'n'Sassy ribbon, Heidi Grace pins, Kaiser pearls, Doodlebug brads and my sewing machine.

I'm hoping to be back in the scrapping grove this week, now that I'm feeling better. Have a great Monday and hopefully I'll be back tomorrow with another creation.

A Creatively Yours Layout

Today I have my Creatively Yours layout. I got to work with the lovely sketch #51. You can see the sketch on the site. If you do a layout based on the sketch leave a comment on the Creatively Yours blog and your layout might be picked to be showcased on the website.

Here is my take on the sketch. I used October Afternoon paper and die cuts, SEI Chipboard, American Craft Thickers and Kaiser Pearls.

That's it for today. Have a great day and stay warm if you are in cold places!

2 Sketches 4 You ~ March 10th

Good morning. I got to my 2 Sketches 4 You card done last night. I went quick and easy this week. And the Basic Grey Urban Prairie makes it so easy. It's just so darn pretty. I also used a die cut from Elle's studio, Prima flowers, Making Memories brads and alphas and Savvy'n'Sassy ribbon.

Another quick post today. I'm playing some catch up here now that my boys are finally both better and back to school. I got lots of yummy goodies this weekend and I can't wait to dig into them. I'm hoping to be back later this week with more cards and layouts.

Have a happy Tuesday!

CPS #105

Good morning. Today I have my CPS card.

For this card I used SEI Blackbird paper. I'm not sure where the flower came from, LOL. It's a big one. I think Bazzill.

Short post today. I'm busy, busy, busy with the March Madness Crop, only 3 more sleeps! It's going to be a lot of fun.

Creatively Yours ~ Noella's 50th sketch

Last week I mentioned that Noella over at Creatively Yours was celebrating her 50th sketch. All of us DT ladies got to work with this sketch and the catch was the layout had to be about ourselves. Well the ladies outdid themselves with this sketch. Here is my interpretation. I used Crate Paper, Savvy'n'Sassy ribbon, Maya Road velvet flowers, Kaiser pearls and my Martha Stewart Lace border punch.

It's a layout about my smile, which is changing. In a couple of months I'm getting braces. Yep, braces. My smile will never be the same!

Also, head over to SheetLoad. The March issue is available for download.

Don't forget about the RAK in yesterday's post. Have a great day and I'll be back tomorrow with my CPS card.

2 Sketches 4 You ~ March 2nd & a RAK

Good Afternoon. Can you believe it's March! I can't. Where has the time gone? Well it's another month and I have my RAK that I promised but first my 2 Sketches 4 You card. I used October Afternoon paper on this one and decided to go with a "school" theme. I also used Savvy'n'Sassy ribbon, MAMBI rhinestones and glossy accents to highlight the apples.

Now for the RAK. This is month 2 of my Savvy'n'Sassy gift certificate giveaways. All you have to do is leave me a comment and I'll enter you into a draw for a $10 gift certificate to Savvy'n'Sassy. Simple as that. I'll draw the winner next Monday.

Well that's it for today. I'm home with a really sick little boy today so I'm off to tend to him.
