New Year's Eve

Hi everyone. I'm back with my final post of 2008. Wow, what a year this has been. There have been a few challenges but I have to say I'm a very lucky person and I'm totally blessed. One of my goals for 2009 is to remember all my blessings when times are tough. So enough reflection, LOL. I have a card to show. It's based on Laura's sketch over at 2 Sketches 4 you. I used the WRMK Nonsense paper, it's very fun.

Very quick card. And a quick post. I hope you all have a safe New Year's Eve and I'll see you in 2009!

Some So Sketchy cards

Good morning everyone. I hope you had a great Christmas. Lots of great food and time with family. We were totally spoiled around here. My boys got a Wii from my great sisters and we were able to get our hands on a Wii Fit on Boxing day. It's a big hit around here. I also got the cutest purse from my sisters that I'm totally in love with. But the best present was from my DH....

Can you believe it!!! He totally spoiled me. I'm in love. I've been hoping to get up to my desk to really play with them. Hopefully today.

Now on to some scrappy stuff. I played with some of the great card sketches over at So Sketchy. Ally comes up with some great ones. Check it out if you have some time.

Here is the first one based on the November #3 Sketch. It's a transparency card using Short cuts transparency. I love this stuff, good weight, great for sewing on and finger print proof.

Here is another view.

This next one is based on the December #6 sketch. Here is my first time playing with my new Copic markers. They are so cool.

This next one is based on the December #7 sketch. I made it for my godparents who just celebrated 40 years together. Isn't that amazing!!! I thought this sketch would be perfect for a card for them.

Well that's it for today. I'm hoping to work on some scrappy stuff today. Have a happy Tuesday.

Good morning everyone. I have my Let's Scrap card for you today. After much thought I have decided to step down from my DT position there so this is my last card. I have really enjoyed my time there and there is an awesome group of ladies over there. Check it out if you have time.

Below is the sketch I created and the card I made. Again if you use the sketch I'd love to see your creation.

Wow, I can't believe it's Christmas Eve. I wish you all Happy Holidays and safe travels. I'll be back after Christmas with some more creations.

Bad blogger...

Hi all, I've been a bad blogger I know. I've been a little under the weather and with all the Christmas hub bub, I'm just trying to keep up! Today I have my first card I did for Let's Scrap. It's based on my sketch. If you do a card based on the sketch I'd love to see it.

Here is the card. I used October Afternoon paper, Cuttlebug and High Hopes stamps. I colored the image with a mix of Prismas and gamsol AND some Tim Holtz Distress ink.

Now for a picture of my little elves. They are so excited for Christmas. This is the picture I sent in our Christmas cards. I think it turned out not bad.

Well that's it for today. I'm working on my first assignment for Creatively Yours. It's another great sketch. I'll be back on Monday with my layout. Have a happy Saturday!

More snow bunnies

Hi everyone. I have a layout to show you today. I used some of the new SEI Glitzmas paper on this one. I must say I'm not an SEI fan. But this Glitzmas paper is awesome. I have only a couple of sheets, thankfully I was able to get my hands on a whole package of it and it's headed my way was we speak. I also used the Savvy'n'Sassy Snow bunnies ribbon kit on this layout. The blue is a perfect match. Here are my two little elves. I can't believe how big they are getting. This is their Christmas card picture.

I also made a couple of gift card holders today. I used the premade ShortCuts gift card holders. I love these. Just decorate. I also used the My Mind's Eye Christmas paper.

Well that's it for tonight, we just got back from the oldest one's Christmas concert and now I'm relaxing. The holidays keep us busy.

Snow bunnies!

Good morning. Today I have a couple of cards I did using the fabulous Snow Bunnies ribbon kit at Savvy'n'Sassy. I used the My Mind's Eye paper and my cuttlebug on these cards. This ribbon matches this line perfectly. I think it's also going to match the Fancy Pants Arctic Chill too!

Well that's it for today. We have a busy weekend with lots of parties. I'm hoping to get some scrap time in too in amongst the holiday parties and baking. Have a happy Friday!

Christmas all year round.

Good morning. Today I have the challenges I did for Christmas Cards All Year 'Round. The challenges were to make a tag, make a "window" card and to make a shaped card. For my shape I did a snow globe. My window card is a shaker card.

Well that's it a quick post. I'm hoping to get to more scrapbooking this weekend. The holiday events are already picking up here and scrapping time is short. Have a great day everyone!

Yep, here are some more I did this weekend. I had a goal of 30. I got about 27 done. Not bad. I still have a few more to do before I have to send them off. I can't believe it's almost December. Speaking of December the December ribbon kits are up and Savvy'n'Sassy. As usual they are gorgeous. I can't wait to get mine, but I'm waiting for some Fancy Pants to arrive before I have it all shipped.

A quick post tonight. I have to get some dinner going. I'll be back with a layout I did in a couple of days.

Also, I have been chosen to be a designer for Creatively Yours for their next term. I can't wait! Noella's sketches are amazing. If you need some inspiration head over there.

I mentioned I was at the Bloomin' Inn for a scrapbooking retreat this weekend. I was working on Christmas cards all weekend. And here are a few.

Shaken not stirred

Happy Saturday! (Can you tell I'm a Bond fan!) Well if you haven't been over to Savvy'n'Sassy to check out the November ribbons you must go. I got to work with the Olive Martini kit. And let me tell you I think it's my favorite kit to date. I just love it. The greens work with all of my Christmas papers, and I have a lot. I'm so busy trying to get Christmas projects done and they were the perfect ribbons for them. Here are some cards I made with the new My Mind's eye Christmas papers.

Well that's it a short post. I'm off to work on some more Christmas cards and to prepare for my weekend crop! I'm leaving on Friday for the Bloomin' Inn. I'm teaching a very quick class this time, I find they go over better when everyone is trying to get all their Christmas projects done. I'll post it when I get back.

Have a great weekend.

A card and a layout!

Hi everyone. I have a card to share with you that I did for Let's Scrap. It's based on a sketch that I designed. And you can see the rest of the DT creations on the blog. I used some My Mind's Eye paper and die cuts, Savvy'n'Sassy ric rac, Cuttlebug, Kaiser rhinestones and my sewing machine.

The other thing I have to share is a layout I did for my November challenge at Savvy'n'Sassy. You can find it here. I used the brand new Fancy Pants paper on this one. It's from our weekend getaway in Waterton this summer. This was the hike we did while there. It was so pretty.

Well that's it for today. It's busy having the boys at home but they are back to school tomorrow.

It's beginning to feel alot like Christmas!

Good Sunday morning. I'm enjoying a lazy morning so far, which is much needed. I can't believe we are into November already and Christmas is fast approaching and I'm way behind on my Christmas cards. So I've been making lots and I have a few to show you. I just love Christmas and Christmas cards are my favorite to make. So here we go.

This first two are using Making Memories paper, Maya Road chipboard, Savvy'n'Sassy ribbon, Ranger paint, glaze pen, Martha Stewart border punch, Kaiser Rhine stones and my sewing machine.

These next two are using Basic Grey paper from last year. This one also has some really fun Stampendous stamps. I love these little guys.

On this one the trees are made with my Cuttlebug.

Well there are some cards. Don't forget to stop by Savvy'n'Sassy and check out the gorgeous November ribbons.
