2 Sketches 4 You ~ October 29th

Hi everyone. I'm back. Sorry to be MIA but it turns out I have pneumonia. So I've been taking it easy and trying to get better. I finally got to some cards today. All my card are going to be Christmas ones for a while. I've got to get my cards done! So here is a Christmas card based on this weeks 2 Sketches 4 You sketch. I used Basic Grey paper, Technique Tuesday stamps, stickles, Fiskars border punch and of course my sewing machine.

Also, the very talented Virginia did an origami card over at Scrapshotz a couple of weeks back and I finally got to it. I used Basic Grey again. I'm trying to use it up before my new stuff arrives *wink*

Well that's it. I'm trying to get back in the groove. Hopefully I'll have more to show you soon. Oh and ShortCuts is having a DT call. Check it out.

Creatively Yours

Good Tuesday morning. The boys are off to school and the house is nice and quiet! I have a couple of cards to show you. Creatively Yours was running a contest for a guest designer spot for November. It's 2 rounds. The first was to create two cards based on the sketch below. I'm happy to say I'm moving on to round 2!! Now I have to do a layout based on one of Noella's amazing sketches. If you haven't been to this site check it out. Noella comes up with some lovely sketches.

Also, don't forget to check out the March Madness site. We have a bunch of new sponsors including Pink Paislee and Upsy Daisy. It's going to be fun and registration has already begun.

2 Sketches 4 You ~ October 7th

Happy Tuesday! I actually got my 2 Sketches card down this week. Now that the Savvy'n'Sassy crop is over it's back to the usual. I used some of the new Daisy Bucket paper on this. For the flowers I stamped on glossy paper and colored them in with a fantastic stick using my Stampin' Up ink pads. Love this technique. There is also some Savvy'n'Sassy ribbon on here.

Here is a side angle to see the dimension I created.

Not much else to share. I'm working on my October Savvy'n'Sassy creations and I'm dying to scrap some fall pictures that we took last weekend.

Have a great day!

Some cupcakes!

Happy World Cardmaking day!!! We are still running our crop over at Savvy'n'Sassy. Here is a couple of cards I did today. The challenge was to do 4 chipboard techniques. I painted/stamped/glossy accents, inked, covered in paper and painted and drew on my chipboard. I used the Maya Road chipboard cupcakes. I just love these. They are so cute. The paper is Basic Grey.

In honor of World Cardmaking day we added a bonus challenge to our crop. Dalis created 4 wonderful sketches and I did a set of 4 coordinating cards with them. Here is what I came up with. The paper is the new Daisy Bucket. It's so easy to work with

Well that's it for today. I'm hard at work on a little project. More on that in the next couple of days.
