One little word for 2010

Good morning. It's back to the daily routine here. I love routine so I'm happy. I'll miss having the boys around though.

Today I have my one little word to share. I love this idea that Ali Edwards came up with. It helps to focus us for the year. Last year I chose perseverance. And that sure worked. This year I thought long and hard and I came up with:

ACCEPTANCE

I want to accept the things I can't change with grace. Instead of fighting them and making myself unhappy. Life is short and you have do the best you can to enjoy it while you are here. So acceptance is my goal for the year.

Well I'm off for today. I'll be back tomorrow with my Humble Pie challenge.

Happy Name day Dad. I hope you are having a great party in the great beyond. Miss you!

A little tutorial

Good morning! I know I've been MIA. But I still have little boys off from school. They go back tomorrow. It's been fun having them home. Yesterday we got to go and see "Cloudy with a chance of meatballs". Super cute movie, we highly recommend it.

On to some scrappy stuff. I did this pocket card for the Humble Pie tutorial this week. If you want the instructions you can go here. It's really easy and makes a great card.

I used Blueberry Tilda (Magnolia). I got her from Phebe at the Town Scrapper. She has a bunch of Magnolia stamps. They are turning into my new favorite. I think because they are fun to color and I love my Copics right now.

Well that's it for today. I'll be back tomorrow. I've been struggling with my one little word for 2010. I did this last year following Ali Edwards lead. I choose perseverance for last year. I've narrowed it down for 2 for this year and I'll post about it tomorrow.

Have a great day!

Happy New Year!!

Good morning! I hope you all had a safe New Year's Eve.

It's hard to believe we are entering the second decade of the 21st century. When I look back over the last 10 years I can't believe all the changes. We have been very blessed in our family for the most part. It's been a busy year and I expect 2010 to be even busier. I can't wait to see what it will bring.

Now on to the scrappy stuff. Today a new challenge is up on the Humble Pie blog. The challenge was to use black, white and one other color. I went with blue and made a winter card.

Well that's it for today. I'm trying to catch up now that the holidays are over. I still have little boys home until Thursday so I'll be spending time with them. Have a great weekend!!
