Wonderful Wednesday

Hello! Half way through the week. Are you surviving?

Today I have my High Hopes Blog challenge. This week we had to sponge. So I decided to sponge the background of my stamped image. I used Tim Holtz Distress Ink Broken China for the sky and Frayed Burlap for the ground. The rest of the materials are Imaginisce Twitterpated, Kaiser Rhinestones, Savvy'n'Sassy ric rac, Making Memories tiny alphas, Copic markers and my sewing machine.

Another quick post today. It's orthodontist day at our house. Every week for a little bit here, it's keeping us busy. Have a great day.

A Creatively Yours Layout & a toot!

Good morning. Today I have Noella's sketch #49 from Creatively Yours. Noella and Ali's sketches always inspire me. They are awesome. If you need inspiration stop by their blog and use a sketch. I never have a problem creating layouts with them.

For this layout I used Basic Grey Urban Prairie paper and stickers, Prima flowers, Savvy'n'Sassy ribbon, Making Memories stickers and journal block. Here are my guys on a walk last spring.

Ok now my toot. Canadian Scrapbooker requested a layout from me for their Scrapbooker Basics series. It's going to be in Volume 4 released in June. I was totally shocked to get the email. It's my first layout to be published so I'm very excited. I can't wait to see it in print, neither can my son who is the subject of the layout. He thinks it's pretty neat.

Ok I'm off for the day. I hope you have a good one.

Happy Monday!

Good afternoon. I hope you all had a fun weekend. I spent yesterday organizing the house. It's not too bad. My pantry looks amazing. I'm sure that will only last until my next grocery trip though, LOL. Today has been crazy busy, I think the next 2 weeks are just going to be like that around here.

I have my 2 Sketches 4 You card to share with you today. I decided to go bright and cheery with this one. I used We Are Memory Keepers Nonsense line, Stampendous Stamps, Savvy'n'Sassy ric rac, spellbinders and my Copic markers.

Well that's it for today, I'll be back tomorrow with a Creatively Yours layout and a some news. Hope you have a great Monday evening.

I did some more laundry

Good morning. I decided to share some more of the work that I did for my guest DT gig at Scrapbooker's Club House. Like I said a couple of days ago, I love this paper. It's gorgeous. I just love the bling and the flowers.

Also, there is still some room at the March Madness Crop. So if you are in Calgary come and join us. The prizes are amazing. I'm going to list them all in the next couple of days, I have to wade through them first, LOL.

Well that's it for today. I'm off to get the boys to school and do some much needed work around the house today. Have a great day.

How about some laundry...

I have had the good fortune to be the guest designer for the month of February at Scrapbooker's Club House. The upcoming March kit features the My Mind's Eye Laundry line. You can preorder it here. This paper is beautiful. It has texture and glitter. It's so pretty. And the flowers that come with it are gorgeous. I had so much fun working with it. Here are the cards I created.

I also created a bunch of layouts I'll share over the next few days. Just a quick post today. It's crazy over here. I've been on the go all day long. Hope you are enjoying your Tuesday.

2 Sketches 4 You ~ February 16th & a Toot!!

Happy Monday everyone. It's a holiday here in my neck of the woods. I'm suppose to be coming back from Montana today but we had a bunch of bad luck and decided to come back yesterday. It was a fun trip though and we are all fine, just a little under the weather.

The flip side is I got to play at my scrap desk today. So I got my 2 Sketches 4 You card done today. I used some left over Crate Paper Lemongrass paper and die cuts, Savvy'n'Sassy ribbon, Bazzill flowers, Kaiser rhinestones and Making Memories tiny alphas.

And a close up (so hard to see the dimension in a regular picture)

Now my toot! Cards magazine requested a card that I did a couple of weeks ago with a 2 Sketches 4 You sketch. It's my first time being published with them. I'm very excited. It will be the July 2009 issue.

Well that's it for today. I'll be back later this week with my Scrapbooker's Club House guest DT work and maybe some Creatively Yours work too. Hope you are having a great start to your week.

A fall mini book

TGIF!! Are you superstitious? It's the 13th...ooooh. I hope you are looking forward to the weekend. We have a long weekend up in my neck of the woods.

Today I have a little mini book I created for one of my DT projects at Savvy'n'Sassy. I had loads of fun with this one. I love mini books, they are probably my favorite scrapbooking project and I did a book on my favorite season, autumn. For this project I used the A Ticket to Whoo-Ville ribbon kit. I also used Basic Grey chipboard book & chipboard letters, October Afternoon Weathervane paper and embellishments and Prima flowers.

Here are a few views of the book:

I hope you have a great weekend and I'll be back sometime on Tuesday.

A Ticket to Whoo-Ville

How's that for a title? This month at Savvy'n'Sassy I get to work with theTicket to Whoo-ville ribbon kit. I just love this name. Below is a picture of this yummy ribbon.

Here are a couple of layouts that I did with this ribbon. For the first layout I used SEI Alpine paper and chipboard, Making Memories embellishments and Bazzill bling and brads. A picture of my now 9 year old boy! Where the time has gone I don't know.

This second one was created with Heidi Swapp paper, American Craft Thickers, Prima Flowers and Making Memories shimmer brads.

Well that's it for today. I'll be back tomorrow with a little mini book. Have a great day.

High Hopes Challenge #17

Good morning!! Well we've made it through Monday. Today I have my High Hopes Challenge. It was a great sketch. Today I used some Basic Grey paper, Making Memories Stickers, Kaiser rhinestones, Ranger stickles, Copic Markers and Savvy'n'Sassy ribbon. The stickles are still a little wet in the picture. I wanted to make sure I got the picture before the "good" light was gone for the day.

Just a quick post today, Tuesday is always my busy day. Hope you have a wonderful day.

Manic Monday

Good afternoon. It's been a busy, busy day even though I've been at home all day. I've been catching up on some housework. I let it get away from me, LOL. Today I have my 2 Sketches 4 You card. I caved and bought some Chatterbox paper and die cuts that I've been eying for awhile. The birds are Hero Arts stamps that I stamped and cut out. I also used some Savvy'n'Sassy ric rac.

And a close up:

I had a great time at the Bloomin' Inn this weekend. I created lots of layouts which I'll photograph and show you over the next few days.

Now if you are up for a contest you must head over to Savvy'n'Sassy and enter the Great Ribbon Rave. It's a 6 week contest and the first prize is a free ribbon kit for a year. It's going to be lots of fun. You can check out the details here.

Well that's it for today, it's a short week at our house. We are off for some skiing and winter fun on Thursday. I'll be back tomorrow with my High Hopes challenge. Have a great day.

RAK winner

Good Friday morning. I've got a busy day ahead as usual. Today I'm dropping off some of my gently used scrapping supplies at Scrapbooker's Bliss for their garage sale. I hope it goes well. I'm sure there are going to be some great finds. Then I'm off to the Bloomin' Inn for a weekend of scrapbooking. I'm looking forward to it.

Now on to the RAK winner. Using the extremely scientific method of having my youngest draw a name out of a hat (he loves that)the winner is:

KATIE!!!

I will email Savvy'n'Sassy to let them know and you can shop when you are ready. Make sure you check out all their preorders here too. Lots of cool stuff on the way.

Also, I mentioned earlier in the week that the February SheetLoad was available for download. Well if you do a card based on the sketch you can enter a contest at SheetLoad to win a bunch of cool stamps. You can go here to find the details on how to enter.

Nothing scrappy to show you today. I packed up my essentials yesterday. But I'll be back sometime on Monday with some creations. I'm hoping to get a lot done this weekend. Have a great weekend everyone.

A couple of things I forgot!!

So I post 2 time yesterday and I still forget stuff, LOL.

First head over to SheetLoad of Cards. The February issue is ready for download. The ladies have done great work this month.

Also, I forgot a little toot. I'm so thrilled to be asked to a "guest sister" on Sisterhood of Scrap. I'm going to be helping out for the month of April. I can't wait. This month the fabulous Alison MacDonald is the guest sister. Head over there to see what's going on.

Just a short post today. It's a very busy one here. I've done my High Hopes challenge but I'll have to upload it tomorrow. Then I have to start packing. I'm off to the Bloomin' Inn for a weekend of scrapbooking and fun on Friday. Can't wait. Have a wonderful day.

2 Sketches 4 You ~ February 2nd

Well I'm back with my 2 Sketches 4 You card. I went quick and easy this week. It's going to be a crazy one around here, LOL. I used some Fancy Pants Daily Grind paper, a Fiskars Border punch, Prima Flowers and Kaiser flowers & rhinestones.

Sorry for the bad picture, the weather outside is not cooperating. It's nice but cloudy and it doesn't help my indoor shots!

Ok that's it for this post, seeing as it's my second of the day I'd say that's pretty good, LOL. I'll be back on Wednesday with some more scrappy stuff hopefully. Have a great evening.

A little tag book

Happy Monday!!

Don't forget to enter for the Savvy'n'Sassy gift certificate here.

On to scrappy stuff. I made this little tag book for my DH for his birthday/Valentine's day. It's also part of my challenge over at Scrapbooker's Club House. You can find my challenge here. Rather than a card I made him a little book of 10 reasons I love him, everyday reasons. I used a Clear scraps tag album, Fancy Pants paper, transparency and rubons, Kaiser rhinestones, Savvy'n'Sassy ribbon, Stazon Ink and a Sakura glaze pen.

It was pretty quick to do and I gave it to him yesterday and he loves it.

Well that's it for today. I'm going to work on some card challenges out there in blogland and I'm working on a bunch of stuff for the Scrapbooker's Club House crop coming up. Have a great day!
