Some more Lime Ricky & SheetLoad reminder
Good morning. Today I have some more Savvy'n'Sassy projects to show you. Today it's Lime Ricky ribbons. These are so bright and fun. Here is a picture. Oh and do you see that amazing pom pom ribbon in there? Oh it's yummy.
First up I did a layout about turning 35. I used Pink Paislee paper and embellishments and Jenny Bowlin pearls.
Next this is my little leprechaun. Isn't he cute! I used the Basic Grey Lime Ricky paper and American Craft Thickers. I ran my sewing machine over the circles and popped up the sides
This is a cute little project that I learned from Becky Fleck in a class. I love this little card. It's bright and fun.
Finally, more fall photos. I used some My Mind's Eye paper and die cuts, Sizzix die cuts and Chatterbox brads
Also don't forget all the great chances to win over atSheetLoad of Cards. I'd love to see your take on this month's sketch and a shout out to SheetLoad!
I hope you have a great day, enjoy the spring weather wherever you are.

These projects are due no later than the 25th of each month and must be loaded onto the Savvy'n'Sassy blog by that date as well.
--A minimum of 25 posts a week on the message board. We encourage you to post more than that.

Ann's picks
This month at Savvy'n'Sassy I got to put together a ribbon kit. This was very exciting for me. So I went with my 2 favorite colors, green and brown and here is what I came up with:
I love it, some of my favorite ribbons are in this kit. And here is what I created.
First up I made this recipe tin that I've been trying to do for years. I used Basic Grey Porcelain paper, Bazzill flowers, Prima flowers, Kaiser pearls and my Quickutz.
Next I used the new Chatterbox paper, brad maker, & charms for this paper about my favorite guys.
This one is my favorite, I love fall pictures. I used Coredinations cardstock, 7 Gypsies paper & brads, Riff Raff chipboard, Glimmer mist, American Craft thickers, Prima flowers, Making Memories tiny alphas and my sewing machine.
And last a layout about my wonderful guy. I used 7 Gypsies paper, Riff Raff chipboard, Glimmer mist and buttons.
Well that's it for today. Have a wonderful day!

2 Sketches 4 You Card ~ May 18th
Happy Monday! I hope you are enjoying your day off if you have one. It's dark and rainy here (there was snow this morning). A good day to do some cards. This week at 2 Sketches 4 You the sponsor is ShortCuts the sister site to SheetLoad. Alicia has some great clear and frosted card bases and gift card holders. They are fun to play with. So this week that's what I used. I actually did a card and a gift card holder.
Here is the card I did. I used a clear ShortCuts base, Basic Grey Lime Ricky, Cuttlebug dies, Spellbinders dies, Stickles, Kaiser rhinestones, Making Memories tiny alphas and my sewing machine.
And a different view:
And here is the gift card holder I did using the same paper and items. Pretty quick and easy.
Well that's it for today. I'm hoping the weather is going to get better this week and I can enjoy some time outside. Have a great day!

Lime Ricky
Ok I have to say, I think this is my favorite Basic Grey collection EVER!! It is so bright and fun. AND I was lucky enough to get a Savvy'n'Sassy ribbon kit that matches this line. Yes that's right, one of the May kits matches Lime Ricky!!! Well that just made my day when I learned that. So here are a couple of cards that I did with the Lime Ricky items. I have more to show but that can wait until another post.
First my tea cup card. This stamp is from Cornish Heritage Farms. I used my Copic markers to color in parts of the image.
Next I have some Unity Stamp trees. This is my new favorite stamp company. For Mother's Day I was lucky enough to get a Kit of the Month from them for the next little while (I have an awesome DH!). I used Copic markers on this one too and cut out the images and used some pop dots for dimension. I tried to make the ribbon into grass.
Well that's the start of my Savvy'n'Sassy projects. I'll be back with lots more over the next couple of weeks. Have a great day!

May SheetLoad card #1
TGIF! Today I have the first of my SheetLoad of Cards samples that I made for the May issue. You can go to SheetLoad to download the whole issue. I just fell in love with these stamps by There She Goes. I turned the scrapling into a bookmark to give a long with a birthday card. I used Dream Street paper, Prima flowers, buttons, stickles and Copic markers.
I hope you all have a lovely Mother's day weekend. I'm running the 5K Mother's day run. It's the first run I've ever entered. I've been working hard to make sure I can do it. Wish me luck.

A little tutorial
Good morning. Today I have the tutorial I posted over at Sisterhood of Scrap last week. I was so thrilled to be a Guest sister for the month of April. They are definately a great group of ladies. So if you didn't get over there to see my tutorial here it is. It's a quick and easy envelope book. I used the new Chatterbox paper. I hope you like it.
Materials needed:
3 envelopes (mine are regular invitation envelopes 4.25x5.5, but you can use any size)
paper
embellishments
ribbon
Take your first envelope and open the flap and glue it to the back of your second envelope. Now glue the second envelope's flap to the back of the 3rd envelope. Here are front and back views of how it should look:
Now, cut patterned paper for the back of your book (the side that doesn't have the pockets is the back) and adhere them to your book
Next you are going to cut patterned paper for the inside. I cut them a little smaller to leave room for my pockets. Make sure when you glue them down you don't glue over the pockets. You'll want to make inserts for them later
Next, you need to cut two triangle pieces for you the flap of your book. I just eyeballed this. Adhere them to your book
Now you need to make your inserts. You can see mine poking out of the pocket with a little ribbon tab. I also slipped my ribbon under the patterned paper of my book so I have a tie to hold it closed. You could also use magnets or just leave it opened.
Just embellish and you are done. I left mine pretty simple because I'm not sure what I'm going to use it for yet!
If you do this little project I'd love to see it.
If you are looking for another tutorial you can head over Cuttlebug Challenge Blog's "Spa Retreat Weekend" Celebration. One of the ShortCuts design team members has a fun little project up there.
Well enjoy your Sunday. I'm hoping the weather cooperates as we are having outdoor pictures today. See you soon!

Happy National Scrapbooking Day everyone. I hope you are all scrapping away and having fun. If you have time head over to Savvy'n'Sassy we are holding a little crop. We have a bunch of challenges. Here are the 2 I came up with. The first is a card sketch (I've attached the sketch I created). The second is a recipe challenge which you can find on the forum. The good news about this crop is you don't have to get it all done today. You have a week to get the challenges in and almost all of the challenge have a RAK. So stop by, say hello, and share you work.
That's all for today, have fun scrapbooking.
